Position; QUALITY INSPECTOR
Location; Kidlington
Salary; £13.00 – £14.50 per hour

We require a driven, conscientious and articulate individual to join our client’s team in Kidlington, inspecting their products ensuring all quality procedures are meticulously performed to ensure all despatched goods are of the highest standard.

Main responsibilities;

  • Working with the Quality engineer you will ensure all products are of the highest quality and ready for despatch
  • Working closely with the Production team to ensure deadlines and targets are met for client orders
  • Attention to detail is paramount ensuring all quality practices and paperwork and completed
  • Checking products for their quality according to customer guidelines

shifts are 8am – 4:30pm monday to friday, this is a temporary to permanent position with an excellent chance of progression and training offered.

About you;

Knowledge of Quality department procedures would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

Own transport would be an advantage but not essential.

Quality Technician

Client;

A market leading global Manufacturing Company have an excellent opening for a Quality Technician at their site in Oxfordshire. The company has multiple sites globally and have recently invested heavily in their UK site.

The role;

The company is growing rapidly and now requires a Quality Technician to support their growing business.

Main responsibilities;

  • Production line rejects: to ensure production line rejects are evaluated against customer acceptance criteria in accordance with defined quality process procedures.
  • To provide technical wheel mounting analysis on returned assemblies.
  • Quarantine: to maintain containment of suspect / rejected components in a manor to prevent further damage and to enable instance trace-ability. Provide routine quarantine stock-taking.
  • Disposing of rejected components and scrapping of components.
  • Performing product audits to ensure completed assemblies conform to specification. Verifying production operational compliance.
  • To be a team player within “Problem Solving” (8D) processes.
  • Quality Training: to support the quality training activities on best practices, methods and techniques to reduce non-quality events and products.
  • Quality support in company wide objectives and continuous improvements.
  • Support advance quality planning: supporting activities within the ISIR process such as new product testing & process validation.
  • To be responsible for performing product audits process.

Required;

  • Basic understanding of “Lean Manufacturing Culture”.
  • Experienced in operating within automotive quality environment
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Word and Access. MRP systems would be advantage.
  • Clean driving licence is required.
  • Knowledgeable in calibration (desirable, but training will be given).
  • Knowledgeable Product audits (desirable, but training will be given).

Job role:

  • Define, document and deliver the project with the support of 3rd parties and internal resources
  • Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project.
  • Prepares realistic plans (including resource, quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Monitors cost, timescales and resources used and take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
  • Ensure that projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed for benefits realisation and that lessons learned are recorded.
