The role;

We require an area Team leader for our client based in Oxford reporting directly into the Plant Manager. You will be responsible for your area and supporting and organising the control of designated projects for the client within your chosen area.

The working hours are Monday – Friday 6am – 4:15pm

Main responsibilities;

  • Organise the hour-to-hour function of your designated projects or area. Ensure that all colleagues work in a safe and efficient manner consistent with company requirements.
  • Complete any project set ups required throughout your shift liaising with the client at all times.
  • Support the customer and supervisor with resolutions to any queries questions or concerns raised.
  • Ensure that each project has the appropriate level of information required to carry out the task, whilst ensuring accuracy of the information supplied.
  • Assure product quality by defining the required labelling, material flow, and product handling.
  • Organise the resources required to ensure the section inspection targets are achieved through checking the skill matrix. Endeavour to ensure consistency allocation of Inspectors to particular projects for consistency.
  • Ensure all colleagues understand and can work to the required level of inspection with good material flow including appropriate labelling.
  • For the relevant project ensure the colleagues are equipped with the correct tooling, and materials to carry out the required activities in accordance with the task required.
  • Ensure your team is aware of shift requirements each day and that the correct communication is given to them to ensure targets are achieved on a daily basis
  • Advise shift management and Customer Liaison Manager [if appropriate] of concerns identified during the ongoing inspection activities
  • Work with Shift Management to ensure all issues are resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • If required personally carry out the required inspection activities.
  • Ensure that the required Project paperwork is completed on time and to the required standard for all projects under their control.

About you;

  • Knowledge of the Automotive industry and working within OEM’s would be beneficial
  • Experience of managing people across a number of different projects / assignments
  • You must be able to work both shifts

2nd Line Support Engineer

Oxfordshire IT Company is looking for a dynamic ICT Support technician to join its team in the Witney, Oxfordshire area.

Successful candidates will be exceptional communicators who excel at working within a team and also when working with end users. Successful candidates must undergo an enhanced DBS Check and ideally have a full UK driving license.

In this role, you will work closely with the support and engineering department and may also include visits to customer sites.

Responsibilities and Duties

The primary responsibility of the role is to help maintain a high level of support for the company’s customers – This will mostly involve working from the office on the ICT support desk with a possible remote option. However, there may be times when you need to visit customer sites.

While on support you will be expected to undertake tasks such as:

  • Answering the support phone line and responding to customer emails.
  • The remote monitoring, diagnosis and fix of various ICT System issues.
  • Doing day-to-day tasks for customers, including updating anti-virus systems and applying windows updates.
  • Generating reports for customers.
  • Handling of hardware support requests by arranging replacements or repairs for customers.
  • Help manage (open, close, update) Service Desk tickets as they are added and be able to prioritise issues and escalate where required.
  • Working effectively with 3rd line Engineers to help resolve customer issues.

Technical competencies we are looking for (not everything below is essential, however the more that can be demonstrated the better):

  • Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server (2016-2022)
  • Installation and configuration of Windows Server roles and services (DHCP, DNS, DFS, RDS)
  • Experience of Office 365 deployments, migrations, and management
  • Virtualisation – Good understanding of virtualization with good experience with installing and managing Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Excellent experience of PC deployment, particularly the use of the SCCM, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and WDS to build and deploy images
  • AD – installation, configuration, and management of Local and Azure Active Directory and Group Policy
  • High level knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, especially Windows 10 & 11
  • Networking – Ability to configure a wide range of networking hardware. Experience with HP/Aruba Provision switches is advantageous
  • Experience of subnetting, VLAN design and implementation is preferable.
  • Knowledge of backup solutions and the ability to implement VEEAM, Redstor and NAS devices
  • Experience with web-filtering & firewall solutions is an advantage, especially Smoothwall & WatchGuard
  • Knowledge of the Sophos suite, especially anti-virus
  • Experienced in the management and implementation of managed wireless solutions, especially Aruba, with the ability to configure Guest networks and 802.1x security

Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our national ICT Managed Services team. The job is to provide first and second-line hardware and software support, asset management, general ICT administration and other ICT facility services as a member of a customer-site-based team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional first and second-line technical advisory, diagnostic and repair support services to academy users within a Service Desk environment, via telephone, web, email and face-to-face during the service window.
  • Provide a professional and effective second-line remote network monitoring and management service within an academy environment.
  • Where necessary and directed to do so, attend desk-side to resolve support issues and assist with the technical development of the academy’s ICT environment.
  • Report and manage any incident that requires the services of a third-party organisation or our third-line support team.
  • Ensure all problems identified whilst performing Service Desk duties are recorded and updated on the helpdesk system so the user is kept fully up to date with the status of each ongoing incident and problem.
  • Ensure that the escalation process is adhered to in all appropriate cases and that the Systems Administrator and where required, the school, are fully updated on the status of all ongoing problems and escalations.
  • Action any asset changes in compliance with the Change Management Procedure.
  • Provide an effective communications interface between the academy and the various groups within the company.
  • Monitor/manage call queues to ensure that support calls are being escalated and resolved within agreed service levels.
  • Assist the Network Manager by carrying out reasonable requests for additional duties, as and when required.
  • Make recommendations on potential improvements to working practices and performance to improve service levels and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Keep the working area clean and tidy at all times.
  • Be prepared to work outside of normal working hours at short notice to resolve issues affecting systems availability or to complete project work.
  • To complete ad-hoc duties and tasks allocated by line management from time to time.
  • To complete additional ad-hoc and scheduled project work, as required.

Mobile Facilities Engineer

Our client is one of the UK’s leading fresh fruit & vegetable suppliers to the foodservice industry and the only remaining national family-run wholesale greengrocer.

They have an immediate requirement for a Mobile Facilities Engineer to complete routine and emergency repairs at a variety of locations. This will involve responding to reports of broken or faulty machinery, conducting routine inspections of buildings/equipment and liaising with external specialist suppliers and contractors.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Reporting to the Facilities Manager, as part of the HSEF team, to undertake scheduled and reactive maintenance activities at several locations around the M25.
  • Provide a full range of maintenance support for PPM and reactive issues including but not limited to: minor building, HVAC, plumbing, Mechanical/Electrical, and painting repairs & general maintenance as necessary.
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
  • Carrying out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks allocated.
  • Liaise as required with external contractors, overseeing their activities and conform to all H&S regulations and best practices.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

  • Recognised Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering qualification.
