Location: Oxfordshire and Surrounding Areas
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000
Hours
Initially 3 days per week, with the potential for additional days and longer-term work beyond January 2027, depending on business requirements.
About the Role
We are looking for an IT Consultant to join our growing team, providing IT support and assistance across a number of schools in Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their IT career. You do not need years of experience – basic IT experience is enough. Full training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
The role will involve travelling to different school sites, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day IT support and assistance to schools
- Troubleshooting basic hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Supporting staff and users with IT-related queries
- Assisting with the setup and maintenance of IT equipment
- Travelling to different school sites as required
- Working independently while also being part of a wider support team
- Providing friendly, professional and helpful customer service
- Learning and developing your technical skills through hands-on experience
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Able to demonstrate basic IT experience and a genuine interest in technology
- Keen to learn and develop their IT skills
- Friendly, reliable and approachable
- A good communicator with strong customer service skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Organised and able to manage tasks effectively
- Professional and confident when dealing with customers and school staff
- Willing to travel between school sites
- In possession of a full UK driving licence – essential
Previous experience working in school or education IT environments would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Contract & Progression
The role will initially be offered at 3 days per week, with the possibility of increasing the number of days as the role develops.
