Main Responsibilites;

  • Servicing, installation & repair of fire alarm systems to relevant standards
  • Work to pre-planned schedule which will be arranged for you
  • Complete site surveys where required. A working knowledge of BS5839 necessary.
  • Be on the monthly on-call rota to attend in hours and out of hours call outs
  • Servicing & maintenance of emergency lighting
  • Offer the highest standards of customer service
  • Maintain up to date product knowledge
  • Complete report sheets
  • Ensure adequate stock levels on your van are always maintained

Required;

3-5 years experience preferably, 1st and 2nd fix, Commissioning of Open Protocol/Conventional systems, Financial awareness and to be able to work unsupervised

Workshop Technician

The role;

  • Measuring, cutting, PVC fabric using high frequency welder to make the covers.
  • Use High frequency welders & sewing machines.
  • Training given but aptitude for numbers and eye for accuracy helpful
  • The job involves lifting, the PVC rolls are heavy as are the made-up items. The successful candidate does not require experience.

Vehicle Compound Driver

Responsibilites;

  • Transferring vehicles on site (there is a significant amount of walking around the site involved).

Working hours will rotating shifts 6am-2pm one week then 2pm – 10pm the next.

Due to conitnued growth our client are looking to add a CNC Programmer/mchinist to their growing team. You will be an integral member of a proficient team focused on working with precision CNC programs and producing high-quality composite insert components

The Role;

  • Generate programs and machine plywood and foam components following best practices, utilising provided drawings and CAD files as guidelines.
  • Help kitting across a range of mould tools to ensure optimisation of material kits and process is achieved.
  • Creating layout sheets to help setups and machine parameters, ensuring consistent and repeatable results using Fusion 360.
  • Ensure correct completion of component tracking information and other related documentation to enable batch tracking and traceability of all components.

Skills & Experience Required;

Minimum of 2 year’s experience in CNC programming and machining is required.

A Strong background in Fusion 360 would be of an advantage.

Hours and Salary;

  • Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm
  • £30,000 to £35,000 pen annum DOE

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Position; Quality Assurance Engineer

Location; Wallingford, Oxfordshire

Salary; £40,000 – £45,000 circa

About the role;

Planet Recruitment are proud to be working with a fast-growing organisation based in the Wallingford who are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer on a permanent basis. The control of processes covering raw materials inbound and moulded components throughout the manufacturing facility. Conduct the quality inspection of supplied GRP moulded components and other critical items whilst raising and facilitating corrective actions with the relevant suppliers. Maintaining the company NCR database and supporting with the onboarding of and Integrated Management System ISO 9001/ ISO 14001.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities;

  • Maintain an acceptable inspection level on required components at goods inwards.
  • Monitor and maintain the goods Inwards QA inspection process to ensure incoming materials meet required drawings and quality standards, whilst ensuring continuity of supply to production.
  • Facilitate supplier development activities via supplier visits and audits to support the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Recording of all Inspection reports and raising Service Calls
  • Reports to enable QA related issues to be clearly identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Review and develop task specific work instructions in conjunction with Product.
  • Development and Production support.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of shop floor.
  • Work instructions to ensure they are well maintained.
  • Supporting the Purchasing Team to collect and review supplier metrics with the target of improving supplier performance/ parts delivery into factory.
  • Feedback of quality data to production teams by means of regular meetings to include team leaders and supervisors, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Provide information for quarterly reports on QA performance.

Essential experience;

  • Minimum of three years previous experience in similar QA role within a fast-moving production environment.
  • Professional qualifications an advantage.
  • A good standard of general education.
  • Computer literate in MS Office and Adobe software as well as SAP.
  • Experience with QMS procedures.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Problem solving skills such as 6S or 8D.
  • Understanding and experience of robust QA procedures

Maintenance Engineer

The Role;

  • Promptly attend and resolve breakdowns during assigned shift, returning equipment quickly to a useable/serviceable level to meet production, quality, cost and delivery targets.
  • Work with the Facilities Manager to setup preventative and routine maintenance plans and other documentation for all equipment, buildings and facilities.
  • Conduct all assigned preventive and routine maintenance activities to ensure equipment meets operating specification or requirements.
  • Confirm and sustain equipment and process capability
  • Mentor production staff in the performance of first line maintenance activities, periodically review staff, highlight deficiencies and retrain.
  • Identify opportunities for the improvement of equipment and facilities, reducing downtime, setup time and cost.
  • Assist management in the introduction and commissioning of new equipment including movement, positioning and the supply of services.

Skills & Experience Required;

  • Has experience in a similar role maintaining equipment in a high-volume, high pressure production environment
  • B-Tec HNC, HND level in an electrical and mechanical engineering subject.
  • 18 th edition wiring regulations
  • Working knowledge of PLC controllers including programming
  • Can read and understand electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of electrical single or 3 phase system.
  • Can fault find on electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
