An innovative and expanding medical device organisation based in Oxfordshire is looking for an experienced Assembly Technician to join its growing manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in manufacturing, engineering, or technical production who enjoys hands-on work within a precision-focused and highly regulated environment.

The Role

As an Assembly Technician, you will play a key role in the manufacture of high-quality medical devices, supporting the assembly, inspection, testing, and packaging processes. Working closely with Operations, Quality, and Development teams, you will help ensure products are manufactured to the highest standards while supporting continuous improvement across the production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble medical devices and sub-assemblies in line with approved procedures, drawings, and work instructions
  • Complete visual and dimensional inspections using calibrated measurement equipment
  • Carry out product testing and accurately record manufacturing results
  • Ensure all products meet required quality standards throughout the production process
  • Maintain accurate production records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Support continuous improvement activities to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality
  • Assist with prototype builds, process development, and new product introduction activities
  • Provide technical support across manufacturing and quality functions
  • Follow all company health, safety, and environmental procedures

About You

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, assembly, or technical production environment
  • Strong ability to follow detailed procedures with excellent attention to detail
  • A quality-focused approach with a commitment to producing accurate and reliable work
  • Good organisational skills with experience completing production documentation
  • Comfortable working within structured and regulated processes

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences manufacturing
  • Knowledge of regulated environments such as ISO 13485, GMP, or GLP
  • Experience using inspection, measurement, or testing equipment
  • Previous experience working with precision assemblies
