Job Description

We are looking for a business intelligence (BI) developer who will be working on designing various analytical reports on company data and delivering them to management and other interested parties. As a BI developer, you will be working with business users, collecting their requests, and then updating the set of existing BI reports to accommodate business needs. You will be expected to establish company standards and common reporting terminology, and to help align existing and future reporting requests to such standards. BI Developer Responsibilities

Collect and maintain the set of business reporting requirements.

To build & maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI underpinned by SQL and bespoke reporting applications.

Translate business needs to technical specifications.

Design, build and deploy BI solutions.

Maintain and support data analytics platforms.

Create tools to store data.

Tabular Modelling – Build and Enhance existing SSAS Tabular.

Support projects and produce business reports upon request to influence key business decisions.

Take ownership over your workload and tickets coming in, prioritising queries based on business needs.

Keep on top of Data Quality and reporting efficiency, adopting a continuous improvement mind set wherever possible.

Liaise with internal and external customers to understand their business and technical requirements, documenting required components such as data structure, workflow, dependencies, and then develop a technical solution to meet their needs.

Familiarity with Azure Open AI, showcasing an understanding of leveraging AI capabilities within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem for enhanced functionality and innovation.

Support and manage testing.

Proactively staying up to date with release notes, take ownership for testing during upgrades and ensuring the data services team are fully skilled in its operation.

Required Skills

Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist

Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modelling) and data mining

In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.

Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI)

Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.

Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.

BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.

Strong communicator, both written and verbal.

Our client requires Vehicle Technicians to work on their site carrying out diagnostic and re-work of motor vehicles.

Working hours will rotating shifts 6am-2pm one week then 2pm – 10pm the next.

An opportunity has arisen to Project Manager – MES Implementation to join IT Team in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. The purpose of this role is to manage and deliver the implementation of the new Manufacturing Execution System for the Manufacturing facility.

Job role:

  • Setup of the MES working group to deliver new MES (Siemens Opcenter) enterprise for Banbury Facility
  • Work with the Banbury manufacturing facility team to identify & define the system requirements to deliver Banbury Facility Gamma Phase
  • Produce and maintain a project delivery plan for MES including required resource (internal and external), budget and the identification of key dependencies leading to the production of a critical path delivery plan.
  • Act as a point of escalation for project issues
  • Manage MES implementation budget provide forecasts & track actual spend.
  • Work with IT colleagues, business stakeholders and 3rd party providers to deliver system integrations to support the end-to-end system value chain as defined by the business.
  • Project manage colleagues from IT, manufacturing, finance, procurement, logistics and other SMEs to identify, configure and deploy the MES system in readiness for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) milestones.
  • Provide regular updates and reports/dashboards for the IT management team, departmental managers and SLT as required.
  • Maintain project documentation including project risk register, resource plan, project schedule and critical path.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.

You’ll have:

  • Experience in a similar role – Essential.
  • Experience with Siemens Opcenter – Essential
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering successful MES implementation projects in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience working in an IT team/department or similar – Essential.
  • Relevant project management qualification (Agile Practitioner, Prince2 Practitioner / or similar)
  • Demonstrable experience engaging with stakeholders on all levels of a business, internal and external – Essential.
  • Experience working within the engineering and/or motorsport industry – Desirable.
  • A team player used to learning new skills & taking on new challenges – Essential.
  • ITIL Foundation Qualified – Desirable.
  • A friendly and approachable disposition – Essential.
