Job Purpose

This is a supporting role, connecting sales, sales administration, technical design, purchasing and production departments. The successful candidate will demonstrate good commercial acumen, be able to show she or he can map a process, identify and eliminate waste, delivering standardised work instructions for improved process, with good interpersonal and strong numeracy skills, working with several Systems departments. There will be a degree of supplier communication, generally with regards to evaluating and implementation of new systems, as well as applying problem solving techniques and general support and backup for the current IT and marketing systems.

Job Description

Salesforce

  • Support in administrating a production environment of around 35 users using Sales Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Order Management, and Pardot/Account Engagement.
  • Learning Salesforce Flows to help support in their maintenance and creation.
  • Creating Reports and Dashboards
  • Where instructed, export, import, and cleansing data in the various clouds.
  • Commitment to use Salesforce Trailhead to learn more about the software.

Managerial

  • Helping support IT involvement in operational processes across the business.
  • Conducting ad-hoc reporting as and when required by the directors/management
  • Producing monthly KPIs
  • Be involved in providing direction & recommendations for the overall improvement of working practices
  • Support of lean working practices and carrying out/being involved in lean DMAIC projects, in relation to IT tasks.
  • Show an interest in technologies & developments within ERP, CRM, mobile technologies, digital service delivery, telephony, networking, network security, disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Liasing with external IT support as an internal point of escalation
  • Helping to monitor mobile device management (MDM) and reporting on this
  • Carrying out sensitive investigations into staff activity, with the use MDM and other reporting structures
  • Assist the business in security strategies to reduce risk both through training and implementing new technologies
  • Support IT related contracts, including doing license counts and requirements, and setting renewal reminders etc.
  • Hardware refresh strategy and purchasing/negotiating

Support

  • Regularly reviewing IT systems are functioning correctly
  • Providing support for IT issues
  • Escalating issues when necessary with external providers
  • Updating Accounting & CRM forms
  • Commitment to trying to learn Microsoft VBA and helping maintain Excel ‘work arounds’ – formulas and ranges etc. supporting with updating code.

Candidate Specification

Background:

Degree educated with direct experience in the roles listed above. Experience working with manufacturing businesses and knowledge of IT help desk highly desirable. A good understanding of systems implementation, you will have spent most of your career in office-based roles and can quickly learn, understand and improve all administrative or office-based IT processes. The job will also involve discussion with customers and our sales, technical & production team, so confident and clear communication skills are required. As an integral part of the management team, the ability and skillset to cross-train other team members are also vital.

Experience:

  • Must have office-based experience
  • Must also be able to evidence a delivery of processes and improvements
  • Experience of lean manufacturing preferred
  • Experience or knowledge of Salesforce desireable
  • Experience of web development and understanding of surrounding technologies
  • Microsoft Office experience – Excel/Word etc
  • Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) experience or demonstration of the ability to learn this quickly.
  • Ability to manage project teams and tasks.

As the IT Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing the management, installation, maintenance, availability and security of the curriculum and administrative ICT network, including the hardware and software infrastructure of the school’s ICT network.
