We require a Forklift Truck Driver to join our clients team based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. You will be required to load and unload lorries and containers to ensure the safe transit of the company goods.

Hours of work are from 7:30am until 5pm, Monday to Friday. Due to location ideally you would need to drive with access to your own transport.

Main responsibilities;

  • Using Forklift Trucks to load and unload lorries
  • Using Forklift trucks to put stock away into correct locations
  • Using hand held scanners for the picking of items.
  • Picking of items for the engineering team
  • Breaking down of palletised goods
  • Stock replenishment
  • General housekeeping, ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Stock taking and any other general warehouse duties

About you;

Applicants must hold a current Counterbalance Forklift licence.

Knowledge of using in-house warehouse computer systems and hand held scanners would be advantageous.

Some lifting will be required some a degree of physical fitness is required.

Basic Numeracy and Literacy skills are required.

Head of Maintenance

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Maintenance for one of the leading Oxford College’s. In this position you will be responsible for the coordination and management of the Maintenance Department and overseeing all maintenance activity across the College’s estate.

You will manage work and services to ensure that its buildings, facilities, equipment and related resources are maintained to a high standard in compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation. The Head of Maintenance will report directly to the Director of Estates and will support them in delivering the College’s core objectives.

The key responsibilities are the overall management of the estate and the leadership and management of the college staff.

The successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence and be able to carry out physical and skilled work of all types typically carried out by the Maintenance Department as and when the workload demands. You will also be part of the on-call out of hours rota equally with the other participating members of the Maintenance Team for the rare occasion of an emergency.

An excellent knowledge of building maintenance processes is required and in particular building services including heating, hot water and plumbing, electrical services and building management systems, alarms and all types of detection systems.

Our client has a mixture of shifts available from day shifts suh as 6:30am – 3pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish on a friday around midday or a late shift which is Monday to Thursday 2:30pm – 11pm, Friday hours are 11am – 4pm.

Responsibilities;

  • Perform tasks and orders following Production Plan given by Production Planner.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following instructions, report any problems or substandard condition to the Team Leader/Supervisor.

The role;

The successful candidate will assist the Maintenance Manager with administration of electronic and hard copy records to facilitate compliance with legislative requirements of construction projects.

Main responsibilities;

  • Provide secretarial and administrative assistance to Maintenance Manager
  • Liaise with contractors and service providers
  • Monitor water testing records for compliance and areas of concern
  • Produce reports from PDA system on timesheets, stock etc
  • Collection and distribution of project data, job sheets, plans, tasks and information as required
  • Research potential problems and issues as directed
  • Photocopying, faxing and general office tasking
  • Control, assessment and filing of all invoices, purchase order forms and financial documentation relating to Maintenance Administration

Required;

  • Possess at least 2 years demonstrable proficiency in administration
  • Have a logical and systematic approach to problem solving
  • Be computer literate and confident using E-mail, Word and Excel
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritising to meet deadlines, juggling busy workload and multi-tasking
  • High attention to detail
  • Knowledge of construction compliance and legislation (desirable) or an understanding of property maintenance issues
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, construction and contract documentation

To be responsible for the sales of Specialised Cleaning and Decontamination Services for the department. The role has the responsibility for the retention of existing business but with the emphasis on delivery of new sales growth.

This role is predominantly about identifying and acquiring new clients but will include converting leads from other sales teams and departments. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record in securing sales in a specialised commercial cleaning and decontamination environment.

Main responsibilities;

  • Communicate and develop relationships with existing customers to help grow the business.
  • Identify and establish new customers from a diverse range of industry sectors across the country in the sales of specialist cleaning and decontamination services.
  • To manage and gather information on all sales enquiries in a manner that fully satisfies the requirements of pre-acceptance.
  • To undertake site visits to thoroughly assess jobs and projects with regard to safety and to obtain accurate scoping for the preparation of accurately costed quotations to ensure appropriate return on sales.
  • To assess incoming enquiries and liaise with clients to ensure that sufficient information is obtained to raise quotations and to enable the generation of the necessary documentation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other sales teams to generate leads from within other parts of the client base.
  • To offer advice and assistance to customers, technical administration teams and other operations and departments.
  • To carry out Duty of Care visits for new and existing customers and/or 3rd party waste disposal facilities.
  • Maintain excellent communication levels to ensure customer expectations are met and information is up to date and accurate.
  • Support the company at waste industry trade fairs.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including health and safety and employment.
  • Any other duties, such as ad hoc projects, as requested by the job holder’s Manager/Supervisor or the Board of Directors that are within the skills and capabilities of the job holder.

Required;

  • Experience of sales in the specialist cleaning/decontamination/Industrial Services industry is preferred.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and social media.
  • Proactive, driven, commercial sales professional with a proven track record of negotiating and closing deals.
  • Ability to work within a team and under own initiative.
  • Strong desire to succeed without compromising quality.
  • Ability to both account-manage and develop new business.
  • Confident communicator on different levels, professional telephone manner and ability to listen.
  • Comfortable selling to all levels, from board room to shop floor, and adept at adjusting sales accordingly.
